New Chapter Information

 

A Local Chapter may be established when a minimum of five people determine to meet regularly for the purpose of education and sharing of information related to Psychotronics, Radionics and other areas of spiritual advancement in alignment with the goals and interests of the USPA.

Membership/Dues: Membership in the national organization is required of all local chapter members and must be maintained at a minimum of five people to be considered active.

If the local chapter collects the national dues from its members, it may retain 50% of the amount collect and forward 50% to the national office (remember, this does not include any portion of local dues assessed).

The local chapter may require an additional fee (monthly or annual) by its local members to hep in its operation.

The Chapter: The chapter will be considered probationary for a period of six months to a year. Once grated full chapter approval, USPA National Headquarters shall apply for a Federal EIN# for the local chapter.

Application: The Chapter shall submit an application for chapter status including a list of charter members (with applications, if appropriate) and the site, subject, date, and time for the first three meetings to be held as a chapter.

Officers: The Chapter shall select a governing body of at least a President, Vice-President and Secretary/Treasurer, and review the status of these officers annually.

Financial records: showing all monies collected and dispersed shall be submitted to the National Treasurer at the end of each calendar year.

Bank Account: The chapter may establish an account in any financial institution to hold its monies.

By-Laws of the USPA govern and take precedence over any By-Laws by a local chapter.

Meetings: The chapter should meet at least bi-monthly (six times a year) and establish a regular schedule. Most chapters meet monthly.

Attendance: An attendance record shall be kept at each meeting as to number attending and the subject of the meeting. A summary of this report shall be submitted to the Secretary/Treasurer each quarter to demonstrate intent to maintain their chapter status.

Chapter Privileges: With its chapter application a local chapter may select any five video tapes from our conference catalog and National Archives FREE and purchase one more video at once half (1/2) the published amount.

Each year at the annual conference, chapter presidents are asked to attend a special luncheon and share information and ideas resulting from your local meetings as well as bring questions and problems before the USPA Board of Directors.

Dissolution: Upon dissolution of a local chapter, all it's assets revert back to the USPA, including monies, equipment, and property according to IRS Regulation.

The United States Psychotronics Association (USPA) is a non-profit Corporation chartered in Washington DC and has obtained IRS exemption from federal taxes under regulation 501(c)(3). The local chapters are also covered under a Group exemption #3234.

In order to maintain local chapter tax exemption, the form (included in the year end reporting packet) must be signed by an officer of the chapter each year.

Board of Directors: The Board consists of a President, Secretary/Treasurer, nine Directors, and other officers and committees as is deemed appropriate each year by the Directors.

Annual Conference: A Conference is convened each July by National Headquarters for the purpose of sharing information in alignment with the interests and goals of the USPA. The Conference includes schools, workshop and lectures on subjects related to Psychotronics, Radionics, and other fields related to its interest and goals. Special rates are available to members.

Chapters are encouraged to submit the names, addresses and specialty of interesting speakers to National Headquarters, so that the speaker might be included in the "Call for Papers" sent out each January.

USPA Publications: The Newsletter includes current articles, and information from other chapters and is provided to members on a quarterly basis.

The USPA Journal is a collection of papers submitted by those wishing to share their research and information with the USPA and is published as appropriate.

The Conference Proceedings is published at each annual conference and includes papers submitted for consideration and many of those presented at the conference. Special rates for the Journal and Conference Proceedings are available to members.
